  • Conduct due diligence on the property - search property records online - verify owner name matches to "seller". Look up the property value online - if listed way below the value it is probably too good to be true
  • Never write a personal check, wire money or give cash directly to a "seller". Always go through a professional 3rd party - Title/escrow company, real estate attorney, etc.
  • Never give personal information to a "seller" or to anyone over email/text
  • Request an actual phone conversation. Most scam/fraudulent listings will not be willing to speak directly over the phone
  • If the price or deal looks too good to be true, it probably is.
  • If you believe you are the victim of a scam please contact the appropriate authorities immediately.

Yes, FSBO.com is *FREE for all buyers to search. You can also click on the "Buy" drop down menu to start your search.

*The only search that requires registration is the Foreclosure  Search. It is FREE for the first 7 Days, and you are automatically billed on the 7th day for the $39.80 recurring monthly fee.

Each listing on FSBO.com has the ability to count the number of views and visitors. We only capture the IP address of the computer that is viewing a full listing details page. This IP address remains private at all times. The seller simply sees a basic counter for how many visitors and views their listing has received. They are not able to see any location or personal data for the person viewing their listing.

When using the Contact the Owner message feature you are required to enter your name, email, and phone number so the seller can reply to your inquiry. FSBO.com does not sell or share any user information.

FSBO.com currently does not offer a buyer notification or registration system. Please check back for updates as this is something that may be added in the future.

All necessary paperwork to sell a property in your State without a broker can be found in the Home Sales Package at Real Estate Contracts. The buyer's mortgage company can most likely provide the paperwork as well for free. The other option would be to contact a local real estate attorney or title company to handle the title work and sale of the property.
